Lincoln Financial Field at a glance

Lincoln Financial Field — "The Linc" to locals — is home to the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and one of 11 U.S. host venues for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Capacity for soccer is approximately 69,000, with the temporary natural grass overlay required by FIFA already tested during the 2024 Copa America matches.
Address: 1 Lincoln Financial Field Way, Philadelphia, PA 19148
Capacity (World Cup config): ~69,000
Surface: Natural grass overlay (FIFA-mandated)
Opened: 2003
Owned by: City of Philadelphia / Eagles
The stadium sits inside the South Philadelphia Sports Complex alongside Citizens Bank Park (Phillies) and the Wells Fargo Center (Sixers, Flyers). The complex shares parking, transit and tailgating infrastructure designed for 100,000+ fans on a single Sunday — a logistical advantage few World Cup venues will have.
Six matches in Philadelphia
Philadelphia hosts six fixtures across the tournament: five group-stage matches and one Round of 32 knockout.
| Date | Stage | Match | Local kickoff | Tickets |

| Wed, Jun 17 | Group F | Sweden vs Tunisia | 15:00 ET | View → |
| Sat, Jun 20 | Group D | USA vs Group D opponent | 15:00 ET | View → |

The Brazil vs Morocco group opener on June 13 is expected to be the toughest ticket — Brazil typically draws the largest neutral fan support in U.S.-hosted matches, and Morocco's 2022 semifinal run has built a permanent diaspora following.
Tailgating: where, when, what's legal
Philadelphia's tailgating culture is among the most established in U.S. sports. The Eagles allow tailgating in stadium lots from 6 hours before kickoff, and FIFA has confirmed the same window for World Cup matches.
Designated tailgating zones
- Lot K (Jetro Lot) — the largest and most party-friendly. RV-friendly. Sound systems allowed.
- Lot M (XFINITY Live!) — adjacent to the bar/restaurant complex. Lower noise limits.
- Lot D & E — family-friendlier, closer to the stadium gates.
- FDR Park (across Broad Street) — FIFA's designated Fan Festival zone, free entry, big-screen viewing.
Rules to know
- Glass containers are prohibited — cans, plastic bottles, and aluminum only.
- No grills above 24 inches. Charcoal and propane both allowed.
- Open containers are legal inside official tailgate lots but illegal on Pattison Avenue or any city sidewalk.
- Pack out everything. Philadelphia issues $300 littering fines aggressively on World Cup days.
Getting there — SEPTA, I-95, parking
By train (recommended)
The SEPTA Broad Street Line runs from City Hall (15th Street Station) directly to NRG Station — one block from Lincoln Financial Field. Trains every 6 minutes on match days, fare $2.50, 22-minute ride. This is the fastest option from Center City.
By regional rail
Out-of-towners arriving at 30th Street Station should transfer to the Broad Street Line at Suburban or City Hall stations. FIFA passes are expected to include free SEPTA day passes — check your match-day email.
By car
- From the north (NYC, Trenton): I-95 South to Exit 17 (Broad Street). 90 min from Midtown.
- From the south (Baltimore, DC): I-95 North to Exit 17. 2 hours from DC.
- Parking: Stadium lots $40–$60 advance, $80+ day-of. Pre-book via spothero.com or parkmobile.
Expect I-95 backups starting 3 hours before kickoff. Locals know to use Columbus Boulevard as a backdoor route.
Cheesesteaks, beer gardens & fan zones
Three things you don't leave Philadelphia without doing on a World Cup matchday:
- Eat a real cheesesteak. The tourist stops (Pat's, Geno's, Jim's on South Street) get the press; locals send first-timers to Joe's Steaks in Fishtown or Angelo's in Bella Vista. Order it "wiz wit" (Cheez Whiz with onions).
- Drink at XFINITY Live! — the bar complex across from the stadium has open-air screens, a beer garden, and pre-match DJ sets. Doors open 4 hours before kickoff.
- Visit the FIFA Fan Festival at FDR Park. Free entry, 40,000-person capacity, full broadcast of every World Cup match on a 100-foot LED wall. Even if you're ticketed for the stadium, walk through for the atmosphere.
Watch every other match in 4K with IPTV
You can only physically attend six matches in Philadelphia. The other 98 World Cup 2026 fixtures play out across the U.S., Canada and Mexico — and the U.S. broadcast rights are split between FOX, FS1, Telemundo, and NBC Universo with massive gaps for fans who want commentary in other languages or feeds from BBC, ITV, ARD, TF1 or beIN Sports.
IPTV4WorldCup consolidates every World Cup broadcaster worldwide into a single stream — 40,000+ live channels including:
- Every U.S. feed: FOX, FS1, Telemundo, NBC Universo, Univision Deportes
- European feeds in 4K: BBC, ITV, ARD, ZDF, beIN Sports, TF1, M6, RAI
- Spanish-language alternates: TUDN, Televisa, beIN LaLiga
- Match commentary in 12+ languages
- Catch-up TV: rewatch matches up to 7 days after kickoff
Set-up takes 5 minutes on any Smart TV, Firestick, or phone. Plans start at $7.50/month on annual — less than one ticket to a Lincoln Financial Field beer.
